A very special one coming up here, A relative of mine and Old Skool raver passed an old tape to me from 91/92 and asked if I could put something together for him as the tape was on it's last legs. After I'd ing the tracks I had all but one and felt inspired by the sheer variety of "Rave" genres that were being played in one mix. So I dug out the tunes, switched on the decks, grabbed myself a few special effects and samples and away I went.

2 and a half hours later we have a cracking selection of massive "Rave" monsters IN THE MIX with a few cheeky samples thrown in for good meaasure. The tracks straddle many rave genres including house, hardcore, piano, techno.

If your an old skool raver (Retired or not), this one will have the memories flowing back. I've split it into 2 parts to keep the mp3 quality high (Although as these tunes are all from vinyl, some dodgy white labels so expect the odd crackle lol)

This mix is a typical night at a in Sams Place, Widnes in 1992. This was when it fullyacceptable to play various genres of "Rave" music in the same night andtake the dancefloor on a journey.When it was more than acceptable to play a more commercial dance 12" next to a white lebel that no one had heard before. When house and hardcore would sound right in the same night, when techno and italian piano would be welcome with hands in the air.

This club wasnt a Bowlers, Pleasuredrome or Shelleys laserdome, but
it was one of the last north west venues to hold on to that loved up
vibe where clubbers who liked all genres danced under the same roof.

This is part one of a a 2 hour 30 min Journey through Club 051, Liverpool in the era 1992-1995. This was the time when dance music splintered into many different genres and it became difficult to pigeon hole one tune from another.

Resident DJ's Dave Graham and Rusty often broke these boundaries and kept the atmosphere at the club on a high. So this is my tribute to the club and its some of it's biggest tunes from the era.
